Decimus Rupilius Severus

Decimus Rupilius Severus was a Roman politician living in the 2nd century AD .

An inscription shows that Rupilius Severus was governor ( Legatus Augusti pro praetore ) of the province of Lycia et Pamphylia around 149/151 . Another inscription, dated December 11, 155, proves that a Severus 155 was a consul suffect with Lucius Iulius Severus ; this Severus was identified by Géza Alföldy with the governor Decimus Rupilius Severus . The two consuls held this office until the end of the year.
