Dedi Baron

Dedi Baron (born 1954 in Tel Aviv ) is an Israeli theater and television director.

Life

Baron received her training at Tel Aviv University in the Faculty of Theater. There she made her directorial debut with a play by Hanoch Levin .

So far she has staged plays by Shlomi Moskovitz particularly frequently , including Seven days . In 2003 and 2004, Baron received national awards for best theater production. The theater director also works for Israeli television. Since 2006 she has been Professor of Directing at Tel Aviv University.

In 2014 she directed the play Mord von Hanoch Levin at the Schauspiel Düsseldorf .

In February 2017 her production of Terror by Ferdinand von Schirach premiered at the Salzburg State Theater.
