Deean , actually Andreas Utzinger (born June 20, 1971 in Zurich ) is a Swiss pop-rock musician. It is also the name of his band.

Career

Deean began working with musicians early on, initially with saxophone (Beat Riggenbach) and drums (Peter Gutschmidt), later with guitarist Hanspeter Krüsi and Roman Roth on drums. In 1997 he completed a music education at the private music school Academy of Contemporary Music in Zurich with a state-recognized SMPV diploma.

He founded the recording studio Blue Acoustics in Dübendorf and composed his debut album Elements in two years , which was released in 2000. Urs Nüssli joined the band as a permanent member for the bass recordings. In 2003 Edo Leonardi (guitarist, singer) joined the band, and during the studio work in 2006 the guitarist Claudio Cervino.

In 2006 the production of the second album Dini Waelt began . He recorded the basic tracks with Walter Keizer (drummer with Andreas Vollenweider ) and Roman Roth in several Swiss studios, among others . In 2007 the drummer Roman Roth was replaced by Remo Borner. By 2015, the formation had over 600 live performances.
