Dehestan

Dehestan ( Persian دهستان) is an administrative unit of Iran . It corresponds to a municipality and is smaller than the Bachsch ( district ). The administrative unit of Dehestan stands above the village . In the 2006 census, there were 2,400 dehestans in Iran.
