history

When Konradin Verlag had acquired all of the shares in the industrial publishing house von Hernhaussen on January 1, 1972, this also included the two scientific journals "Erdöl und Kohlen Erdgas Petrochemie" and "fette soap paints". Both were organs of scientific societies that were read in numerous research and university institutes and in industrial companies.

A partial edition of “fette soap paints” was already called THE NUTRITION INDUSTRY back then. This became an independent magazine in 1973 with an initial print run of 3,200 copies and initially four issues per year. The conversion to a reference number trade journal took place in autumn 1974 with a circulation of 5800 copies.

Today, around 10,000 copies of the magazine are sent to companies in the food and beverage industry as well as the beverage industry and the associated plant and apparatus engineering. This important area has also been taken into account for a number of years with themed specials on raw materials and additives, beverage concepts, food design, dietary supplements and functional food.

Additional activities
