delfort is an Austrian group of companies that develops, produces and sells functional specialty papers. The group of companies operates in Europe, America and Asia and employs over 2,000 people worldwide.

The group of companies is based in Traun in Upper Austria. It emerged in 2006 from the split of the Trierenberg Group. The turnover in 2016 was 782 million euros. The company's two board members are Martin Zahlbruckner and Roland Faihs.

Besides the paper mill Dr. Franz Feurstein GmbH also the paper mill Wattens GmbH & Co KG in Tyrol, Dunafin Kst. in Hungary, the paper mill OP Papírna, sro in the Czech Republic, the paper mill Tervakoski Oy in Finland, Wattens Vietnam in Asia and the Converter Mundet in Mexico and the USA. The converter delfortgroup printing services Inc. in Greensboro , USA, has also been part of the group since August 2016 . At the end of 2018, delfort acquired the German family company Benkert in Herne .

Products

delfort produces special papers for various applications and industries, especially cigarette paper, filter wrapping paper, tipping paper, thin printing paper, label base paper and flexible packaging paper. In addition to the tobacco industry, the company's papers can be found, for example, in religious works, as package inserts in medicines, as labels on merchandise, as packaging for various food manufacturers or as baking paper.
