Delis Vargas , full name Delis Matías Vargas Blanco , (born October 25, 1994 in Tacuarembó ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.85 meter tall offensive player Vargas played in youth football in 2008 in the Septima División and the Sexta División for Tacuarembó FC . He then worked in the OFI area from 2009 to 2014 . From 2014 he was on the squad of the reserve (Formativas) Juventuds in the Tercera División. He played his first competitive game in professional football for Juventud on August 28, 2015 as part of the Copa Sudamericana against CS Emelec . In the 71st minute he was substituted on by coach Jorge Giordano for Gastón Puerari . He made his debut in the Primera División on September 2, 2015 in the 3-0 home defeat in the game against Club Atlético Rentistas , when he also entered the field in the 71st minute of play for Puerari. In the 2015/16 season he was used in 19 top division games (two goals) and one encounter (no goal) of the 2015 Copa Sudamericana . During the 2016 season, he played 14 league games (three goals). So far (as of February 9, 2017), a first division appearance (no goal) has followed in the current 2017 season.
