Delta G Scientific Company
Delta G Scientific Company was one of four bogus companies founded in April 1982 by the South African apartheid regime as part of the top-secret Project Coast . The managing director was Philip Mijburgh, a nephew of the then Defense Minister Magnus Malan . The other companies were Roodeplaat Research Laboratories , Protechnik, and Infladel . All four companies were subordinate to the South African Defense Force and were among others by Wouter Basson , also known as Dr. Death ("Dr. Tod") known, directed. Delta G, as the company was widely known, was to develop chemical warfare agents . These were divided into three groups: the fatal, incapacitating, and irritants . So were z. B. Produced large amounts of ecstacy , cocaine, and tear gas .
When Project Coast was scaled back in the late 1980s, the company was privatized and in 1989 went to Medchem Consolidated Investments , itself a former front company .
Delta G has been part of Dow Sentrachem since 1997 .
