Demetallized foil

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A demetallized film is an initially fully metallized polyester film , in which partial areas of the metallization are left out using a special process .

Where the packaged product has to be visible through the packaging is left out, other areas remain metallized: viewing windows are created . There are advantages in particular in the case of a complex printed packaging film: The printing inks have a metallic, shiny appearance that would not be possible without an underlying metallization.

Demetallized films are now used in many areas of the packaging food industry . They can be found in the field of roll goods as well as in high-quality stand-up and side -gusset bags .
