Demon in California's Great America ( Santa Clara , California , USA ) is a steel roller coaster model of the Custom Looping Coaster from Arrow Dynamics , which opened on May 29, 1976 as the Turn Of The Century .
At the time of its opening, it only owned the 11 m high, double corkscrew as an inversion . Two loops were added for the 1980s season, the first 21 m high and the second 17 m high. The 649 m long route reaches a height of 31 m and has a 27 m high first drop of 54 °. The top speed is 81 km / h. An identical facility opened on the same day with the same name in Six Flags Great America . This also drives today under the name Demon .
