Deng Yingchao
Deng Yingchao ( Chinese 鄧穎超 / 邓颖超 , Pinyin Dèng Yǐngchāo , W.-G. Teng Ying-ch'ao ; * February 4, 1904 , † July 11, 1992 ) was one of the few prominent women in the communist revolutionary movement before it was founded of the People's Republic of China . Deng's special role was based primarily on his marriage to Zhou Enlai , who, alongside Mao Zedong, was the determining political figure in the People's Republic of China until 1976. However, unlike, for example, with Jiang Qing , Deng's political career was based on an independent starting point.
