Hatice Deniz Tekin (born June 7, 1997 in İzmir ) is a Turkish singer and songwriter .

Deniz Tekin, whose parents were public sector dentists, grew up in Konak for the first few years . At the age of eight she began to play the piano and the flute . While at school she took part in local music groups, and when she was 16 she played live music in small cafes. Her cover versions of popular songs attracted attention, and in 2017 she released her first studio album, Kozakuluçka . In 2019 she was involved in the rap project Susamam (produced by Şanışer ), a critical reckoning with the era of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the form of a music video.

She studies western languages ​​and literature at the Boğaziçi Üniversitesi .
