Dennis Kirkland

Dennis Kirkland (born December 2, 1942 in North Shields , Tyne and Wear , † February 16, 2006 in London ) was a British television producer and director.

Kirkland has been a film producer since the late 1960s. First he produced films ( White Vests for Crooks , Scacco tutto matto , Italy-Spain 1969), but then quickly switched to television. Here he produced various television series and television shows. He was best known in both roles for The Benny Hill Show . From 1979 until the series ended in 1989, he was Benny Hills' preferred producer .

In 1980 and 1981 he was nominated for the Benny Hill Show for an Emmy Award , but both times came away empty-handed.
