The literary cat calendar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The literary cat calendar is a weekly calendar from Schöffling-Verlag .

history

The calendar, published annually since 1996 by Julia Bachstein alias Ida Schöffling, combines literary quotations with pictures of cats in black and white photography . The design trademark is the reduced appearance in the colors black, white, gray and red for some particularly emphasized words. Many of the literary quotations show that there often seems to be a special connection between writers and cats.

The calendar was published by Elke Heidenreich in 2003 in her television program Read! reviewed.

The photos come from professional photographers such as Wolfgang Lauter , but also from photo amateurs such as Edith von Welser-Ude ( Christian Ude's wife).

In 2011 the cat pocket calendar was added.
