At the holy source of German power

An edition of “Am heiligen Quell” from the first few years

At the holy spring of German power was a magazine that was published by Ludendorffs-Volkswarte-Verlag (later Ludendorffs Verlag GmbH ) in Munich. It was initially published monthly from 1930 onwards, and the year began in May. The editor was Karl von Unruh. In the beginning it was a purely philosophical newspaper of the German people and had the title “At the holy source”. After Ludendorff's public observatory was banned in 1933, it was given the title Am Heiligen Quellen Deutscher Kraft and also dealt with political issues. Hans Kurth became the editor; the frequency was twice a month, on the 5th and 19th respectively. In 1937 it had a circulation of 100,000 and had to be discontinued in 1939 due to the authorities' refusal to provide paper for them.

From 1945

After the war, the successor magazine Der Quell was published by the Hohe Warte publishing house in Pähl in 1949 . In 1960, the publisher Franz von Bebenburg had to answer for a report in the magazine before the competent district court of the Upper Bavarian town of Weilheim . This report quoted the testimony of some Egyptian students who visited West Berlin and whose names are not given. In particular, the following quote was objected to: “Two Jews bursting with hatred against the Germans, Heinz Galinski and Joachim Lipschitz , tyrannize the illegitimate German people in West Berlin.” The trial ended with an acquittal . In 1961 the magazine was banned by the interior ministers of the federal states, but this ban was withdrawn in 1965. The covenant for God Knowledge , which was also forbidden , was only permitted again in 1977.

The editor was Walter Löhde. The magazine regularly contained editorials by Mathilde Ludendorff and Alexander Frerichs, her pseudonym before 1954.

After the ban in 1961, the paper was replaced by the magazine Mensch und Maß , which is still published today as a philosophical-political two-month magazine of the right-wing radical association for the knowledge of God by the Hohe Warte publishing house.
