The Swabian Federation
The Swabian Confederation with the subtitle A monthly magazine from Upper Germany was a monthly magazine published for the first time in October 1919, which - with continuation of the year - from October 1921 under the name Upper Germany. A monthly for every German was published by Strecker & Schröder GmbH Stuttgart and its publication was discontinued in September 1922.
The journal founded by Georg Schmückle , who later became the regional director of the Reichsschrifttumskammer Württemberg and cultural advisor to the Reichsstatthalter von Württemberg, in which open polemic against the Weimar Republic was made, is considered "extremely nationalist"; Schmückle turned against the November government and communism in "many aggressive pamphlets and speeches" .
The editors are Hermann Missenharter , Georg Schmückle and Hans Heinrich Ehrler . Contributions in lyrical or essay-like form were among others. a. also Ludwig Finckh , Hermann Hesse , Theodor Heuss , Isolde Kurz , Wilhelm Schussen and Auguste Supper .
