action

Film plot

After years in which Renate lived alone with her son Mario and raised him alone, a new man has entered her life with Rainer. Conflicts arise between Mario and Rainer. So far, his mother has been the center of his life for Mario and vice versa. Mario cannot cope with the new situation.

There are also problems of a first love. Mario feels drawn to Anke, who in turn is not averse to Ralf. Ralf is the son of Jutta, one of Renate's colleagues. After a divorce, she also lived alone with her son for a long time. However, the relationship between mother Jutta and son Ralf is broken, Ralf has already moved out of his mother's house and lives in the gazebo. Mario and Ralf know each other and Mario doesn't really have a good opinion of Ralf.

In addition, Ralf got on the wrong track and, as the head of a gang of three to which Tommi Fischer and Harry Wolf also belong, has specialized in the theft of moped, motorcycle and car accessories. The vehicles are often damaged in the process. Tommi, however, wants to get off the gang. However, Ralf forces him to continue with the threat of having him "blown up". Harry, the youngest of them all, is still so immature because of his youth that he is almost a slave to Ralf.

Out of the emotional crisis situation, Mario seeks contact with Ralf and his gang. Ralf sees the chance to replace Tommi with Mario in the medium term and instigates him to “stand up” on one of the next thieves. Mario willingly participates. Tommi also oversees the situation and warns Mario not to get involved with Ralf. But Mario also participates in the next theft as a “corner stand”.

In the meantime, Ralf's mother, who suspected more than knew about her son's illegal activities, has come to the point where she sees the only way out to report her son to the police. This finally arrests Ralf, Tommi and Harry in the act. Mario can escape first. However, he meets his mother and her boyfriend near the crime scene. The next morning he went to the People's Police with both of them and made an extensive confession.

Legal evaluation

Mario Reinhard was guilty of aiding and abetting the theft of personal property. In his case the public prosecutor made use of the possibility - given according to GDR criminal law - to hand the criminal case over to a “social court”, i.e. the competent arbitration commission, with a view to the consequences that had occurred and the low severity of the guilt . The Arbitration Commission issued a complaint to Mario Reinhard and also obliged him to comment on his crime in front of his class.

All other involved parties had to answer for criminal theft in court: a total of 43 thefts with a total loot of over 12,000 marks from the GDR could be proven. Added to this was the property damage they caused when the parts were dismantled from the vehicles.

Ralf Warnke was sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment for criminal theft to the detriment of personal property, willful damage to property and coercion. Tommi Fischer was sentenced to two years and three months in prison for criminal theft to the detriment of personal property and damage to property. Harry Wolf was sentenced to two years' imprisonment for criminal theft to the detriment of personal property and property damage. All of the defendants were also sentenced to compensation for the damage they caused.
