Jan Eik
Jan Eik (born August 16, 1940 in Berlin ; civil: Helmut Eikermann ) is a German writer and non-fiction author .
Life
After graduating from high school, Jan Eik initially worked as a studio assistant and, after completing his studies, until 1987 as a graduate engineer for information technology for broadcasters in the GDR in Mittweida and Dresden . He has been a freelance writer and publicist since 1987, but his first publications go back to 1962.
He initially published glosses , feature articles , reports and reviews in magazines (including Die Weltbühne ) , as well as prose texts in anthologies as well as children's radio plays , features and jazz programs for radio. He wrote more than 20 detective radio plays. Numerous detective novels , non-fiction books, etc. have been added. a. on crime literature and media and Berlin history, as well as scripts and a comedy . Also the template for the film Dangerous Friendship from the GDR television series The Public Prosecutor got the word comes from him.
Jan Eik is now a member of VS Berlin / Ver.di, a founding member of the crime literature section of the GDR Writers' Association . He is also a member of the crime authors' group Das Syndikat , for which he was almost always the publisher and editor of the internal newsletter Secret Service from 1991 to 1998 .
