Der Treasurer (spelling DerTreasurer) has been a specialist journal for treasurers and finance managers in German-speaking countries that has been published since 2007 . The owner of the media brand “DerTreasurer” is Frankfurt Business Media - Der FAZ-Fachverlag.

history

Since 2007, the editorial staff of Der Treasurer has been providing information on current trends in treasury with its bi-weekly e-magazine and the quarterly print edition . More than 8,000 financial managers in companies and banks as well as service providers and consulting companies are now among the readers.

In 2013, Der Treasurer's range was expanded to include the online platform www.dertreasurer.de, which provides information on the latest business and finance news.

Content

The magazine Der Treasurer has six sections. In “Cash Management & Payment Transactions ”, the editorial team reports on current regulations in payment transactions and innovative cash pooling structures. The "Personal & Personnel" department provides information about personnel changes in the treasury world, training opportunities and salaries. Current trends in corporate finance as well as news from the banking world can be found in “Finances & Balance Sheets” . The “Risk Management” department is dedicated to hedging interest rate , currency and commodity risks as well as dealing with counterparty risks. "Asset Management" provides information on investment strategies and the stock and bond markets. In the “Software & IT” department, trends such as cloud computing and new product developments in the area of ​​treasury software are presented.

Treasury of the year

Since 2010, the editorial team of Der Treasurer has been awarding the “Treasury of the Year” award at the “Structured FINANCE” congress fair, which recognizes outstanding achievements in treasury. The jury includes corporate treasurers as well as representatives from banks and financial service providers. The winners so far have included the treasury departments of Merck KGaA (2010), Nordzucker AG (2011), Altana AG (2012), Lanxess AG (2013) and the Braas Monier Group (2014).

Cash Management Campus

The Cash Management Campus has been organized by the editorial team of Der Treasurer together with BNP Paribas since 2013. The event offers treasurers and cash managers solutions for current challenges in cash management. At the premiere, the focus was on the open questions relating to the introduction of the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA). In 2014, the focus was then on the challenges of centralizing payment transactions. In 2015, the discussion focused on dealing with geopolitical risks in cash management and the low interest rate environment.
