West Prussia - UNSER DANZIG is a German newspaper . It appears every two months in Münster-Wolbeck and is the federal organ of the Landsmannschaft West Prussia , which is also the publisher .
target group
According to its own understanding, the newspaper addresses " conservative readers of all regions, age groups and social classes". The paper campaigns for the rights of those who have been expelled from the homeland , and the majority of its readers come from West Prussia and Danzig .
The newsletters “Der Westpreuße” and “Unser Danzig”, which until then appeared separately, have been officially published since January 2009 as a joint issue under the title “Der Westpreuße - UNSER DANZIG” and the subtitle “Encounters with a European cultural region” .
In addition, the Marienburger Zeitung (formerly also Marienburger Brief ) , which was independent monthly from 1947 to 2009, as well as Das Weichselschiff , a magazine of the community of Danzig-West Prussian students in the East Political German Student Association, published from 1965 to 1981.
The West Prussia yearbook is published annually by the same publisher .
Format and frequency of publication
Since 2016, the print has been published with 36 pages in stapled form in A4 size on art paper. The 2016 and 2017 volumes comprised twelve issues per year (published monthly). The former country team part with death reports and birthday greetings has been omitted.
The frequency of publication was changed in 2018. Beginning in January, “Der Westpreuße / Encounters with a European cultural region” appears alternating monthly with “Der Westpreuße / Landsmannschaftliche Nachrichten” with national topics as well as birthday and death reports.
