The Wizard of Lublin (Yiddish: Der Kunznmacher fun Lublin ) is a novel by Isaac Bashevis Singer , which was first published in 1960. In 1979 Menahem Golan made a film about the novel.

Jascha Masur is an acrobat, magician and love artist in Poland in the late 19th century. He moves from place to place and from adventure to adventure, demonstrating his magical and artistic talents. On occasion he breaks women's hearts and tries to escape the Jewish faith of his fathers. Yascha Masur wants to live according to his own law. The novel is shaped by the irony of the author; Jewish tradition and literary modernity meet here.
