Delors building

The Jacques Delors building, or Delors building for short, is the seat of the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions .

It is located in Brussels in the European Quarter between Rue Belliard and Leopoldpark, which is in the immediate vicinity to the south .

history

Until the 1990s it housed the European Parliament , which then moved to the new Espace Léopold .

In the 2000s, the building was renovated for the two committees and finally renamed in 2006 after former Commission President and prominent co-founder of the Committee of the Regions, Jacques Delors .
