Derek Temple
Derek Temple (born November 13, 1938 in Liverpool ) is a former English football player .
life and career
Temple began his career with Everton FC in 1957 at the age of 19. The Englishman remained loyal to the toffees until 1967. While Harry Catterick was coach of Everton FC, he became a left midfielder. In the championship season, Temple could not play a single game because of an operation on his knee . In 1966 he won the English Cup, playing 90 minutes in the final. At this time he was called up for the first and last time for the English national football team . He was allowed to run against Germany . In 1967 Temple moved to Preston North End for a transfer fee of £ 35,000. In 1970 he moved to Wigan Athletic for two years , after which he ended his active career.
