Derlingen is a desert near Gerbstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . The place was founded in Swabia and had a parish church. Today the place is in a wood by a row of trees in a wind farm northeast of Gerbstedt. Groß- Polingen is easy to recognize from Derlingen as a forest, but Klein-Polingen is difficult to distinguish from other heaps. In the desert there are several puddles that are approx. 50 cm deep, and walls can also be seen.

The place is mentioned three times:

  • In 1341 the monastery sold Hedersleben the monastery Gerbstedt a courtyard and a hoof in villa Derlingen , the annual Mark stendalisch earned silver.
  • In 1349 and 1400 the village is mentioned in the Halberstadt archdeaconate register .
