Hedersleben is a district of Lutherstadt Eisleben in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The place is about 8 km east of Eisleben . The Laweke brook begins in the village and flows east to the Salza .
history
Hedersleben was first mentioned in a document in 1060. A very detailed treatise on the history of Hedersleben, from the Neolithic to the present day, can be found at www.hedersleben.eu.
On 1 January 2010 the hitherto independent municipality Hedersleben was with Burgdorf in the city Lutherstadt ice life incorporated.

The coat of arms was approved by the district on June 9, 2009.
Blazon : "In green on a golden shield base, a golden post mill with a black door opening and owl hole, a golden rod protruding from the roof, three black goat horns in the shield base, the middle one larger."
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch and included in the approval process.

Personalities
The hunter and hunting writer Alexander Florstedt was born in Hedersleben.
Karl Emil Adelbert von Herder (1779–1857, ennobled 1802), the son of Johann Gottfried Herder , the well-known poet and philosopher of the Weimar Classicism, brought in 1794/95 through his godfather Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim in the office of Hedersleben the Prussian-Princely Chamber Magdeburg did an agricultural traineeship with the chief magistrate Morgenstern. Morgenstern visited the Herder family in Weimar in October 1794.
Also Konrad Leberecht Marschall von Bieberstein (1695-1768), a Prussian lieutenant general of cavalry and hereditary lord on Reichstädt and Bethenhausen, was born in Hedersleben.
Christiane Eleonore von Zeutsch , daughter of Georg Vollrath v. Zeutsch and Christiane geb. v. Weißenbach was born on June 5, 1666 on the estate in Hedersleben. Her granddaughter was married to the Russian Tsarina Catherine II , also known as the Great.
