Sittichenbach is a district of Lutherstadt Eisleben in the district of Mansfeld-Südharz in Saxony-Anhalt .
In the Hersfeld tithe directory of the Hersfeld monastery, which was created between 881 and 899, Sittichenbach is named as the place of tithe Sidichenbechiu . The place was the seat of the Saxon office Sittichenbach until 1815 and then became Prussian.
The remains of the former Cistercian monastery Sittichenbach are worth seeing . As Catholic expellees had settled in the Sittichenbach area as a result of the Second World War , the Catholic Church “Assumption of Mary” was built in 1954–56.
Until it was incorporated into Eisleben on January 1, 2009, Sittichenbach was part of the Osterhausen community .
