Desiderius of Fontenelle

Desiderius von Fontenelle (* unknown ; † around 700) was a nobleman and the son of Waningus . Later he was a monk in the Abbey of Saint-Wandrille .

Only in the second biography of the Wandregisel is he mentioned as a particularly worthy monk and therefore as a saint. Otherwise nothing is known about him.

After Saint-Wandrille was abandoned in the middle of the 9th century, its relics were transferred to Ghent , Belgium.

His feast day (Catholic) is December 18th.
