Detectable plaster

There is a metal foil under the wound pad. This means that if the plaster is lost, it can be found using metal detectors.

Detectable plasters , also known as "blue plasters", belong to the first- aid class . They are used especially in hygienically sensitive areas, where they are already visually striking due to their coloring.

Function and application

These plasters differ from normal plasters essentially only in their color and an integrated metal layer. The wound care is identical to conventional plasters.

Areas of application are the food industry and gastronomy . Since very few foods are blue, if they are lost they will stand out simply because of their conspicuous color. This corresponds to a requirement of the International Food Standard (IFS). In addition, a built-in metal layer enables it to be found using metal detectors .

If a barium sulfate thread is incorporated, the plasters can also be detected with X-ray detectors.

Many products such as gloves, protective sleeves, clipboards, knives, brushes or pens that are used in the food industry can also be detected.
