The German-Scandinavian Bank AG was a foreign bank in Germany in 1976 as a joint venture between the Swedish Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB and Bayerische Landesbank was founded.

The focus of activities was on corporate customer business, primarily with Scandinavian companies with and without subsidiaries in Germany as well as German and international companies with Scandinavian business relationships.

After the complete takeover of all company shares by Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB, the bank was renamed “SE Banken AG”, later to “Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AG”.

At the turn of the year 2000/2001, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AG became a subsidiary of what was then BfG Bank AG .

With the merger with SEB AG on November 1, 2001, the company's independence ends.
