German Working Group for Gestalt Theoretical Psychotherapy

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Working Group for Gestalt Theoretical Psychotherapy (DAGP) originally emerged from a summary of psychotherapists who had organized themselves within the framework of the international multidisciplinary society for Gestalt theory and its applications (Society for Gestalt Theory and its Applications, GTA). It was founded in 1994 as the successor to a working group for psychotherapy based on gestalt theory that had existed in the GTA since 1979 . The DAGP was in Germany for the training and further education of certified psychologists for psychotherapy according to the Heilpraktikergesetzauthorized. For many years she carried out training and further training in Gestalt theory psychotherapy as well as training in applied Gestalt theory in counseling, education, team organization and supervision , until these activities lost their basis in the wake of the new situation after the German Psychotherapists Act came into force . It also represented the professional interests of its members.

The working group was a member of the Working Group of Psychotherapeutic Associations (AGPF). The DAGP has been an independent registered association since 2012.

The scientific journal of the GTA and thus also of the DAGP is the international multidisciplinary journal Gestalt Theory . In addition, the Austrian sister company of the DAGP, the ÖAGP , publishes the journal Phenomenal - Journal for Gestalt Theoretical Psychotherapy (Verlag Krammer, Vienna), which is also distributed in Germany.
