The Deutsche Bahn Foundation gGmbH was founded in 2013 by Deutsche Bahn AG . The aim is to shape the future and to create perspectives, among other things for people who are dependent on help and support.
Charitable projects are funded, for example the DB Kids Camp in the area of integration and welfare ; in the field of culture and education, the DB reading case in cooperation with the Reading Foundation and Germany scholarships for university students. In the area of climate and nature conservation , for example, sustainable concepts for tourism regions are being developed in cooperation with the German Economic Institute for Tourism e. V. developed. It is investigated how public transport can be made more attractive and CO 2 emissions reduced. In the area of humanitarian aid , disaster relief actions are supported.
The company also operates the DB Museum in Nuremberg.
