The Deutsche Dan Akademie eV (DDA) is an association founded by the German Karate Association for the scientific development, research and promotion of training teachings , training methods and examination programs, education and further training of Dan bearers in the field of martial arts karate .
history
The DDA was founded in 2008. The principles for the work of the Deutsche Dan Akademie were jointly defined and resolved by the management of the DDA and the scientific advisory board of the DDA on June 30, 2008, taking into account the statutes of the DDA.
target group
The DDA addresses its wide-ranging sports-specific training and further education offer, which is based on the training and further education of the German Karate Association, exclusively to the members and Dan supporters of the German Karate Association. Licenses and training from the DKV are recognized in the DDA and are a prerequisite for various training paths.

According to its own information, the DDA pursues the following commercial goals:
- Promotion of the image of the master degrees - being a Dan holder means being a role model
