The German Fire Brigade Medal of Honor on ribbon is awarded on request by the President of the German Fire Brigade Association. It is primarily intended for deserving individuals who are not actively involved in the fire brigade and for representatives of foreign organizations .

layout

The German Fire Brigade Medal of Honor consists of a round golden medal surface on which a dark blue cross with paws and four red flame symbols are depicted. The black and gold federal eagle is placed in the middle. The inscription "DEUTSCHER FEUERWEHRVERBAND" is embossed on the back. The medal of honor has a diameter of 50 mm and hangs on a blue-yellow-red ribbon.

Award

A German Fire Brigade Medal of Honor on ribbon can be awarded annually to every 3000 active members of the fire brigade. A certificate of honor is issued for the award . A corresponding strap buckle will also be handed out with the award .

Carrying method

The German Fire Brigade Medal of Honor is worn in its original size at the award ceremony and on special festive occasions.
