The German Society for Audiology (DGA) is an interdisciplinary, scientific specialist society that deals with the issues of audiology in research, teaching, development and practice. In addition to doctors, especially ENT doctors, phoniatrists - pediatric audiologists and occupational physicians, representatives from hearing aid acoustics , natural and human sciences (e.g. physics , biology , psychology ), as well as from engineering , education for the hearing impaired and medical assistant professions are represented.
The DGA was founded in 1996, the founding president was Manfried Hoke (Münster), later made an honorary member. The company's office is located in the House of Hearing in Oldenburg .

- the promotion of hearing research
- the coordination of interdisciplinary research projects
- the statement on current questions and problems in the field of audiology
