The German Society for Vascular Surgery and Vascular Medicine - Society for Operative, Endovascular and Preventive Vascular Medicine eV (DGG) is a medical association for vascular surgery and vascular medicine in Germany . The purpose is to represent the interests of the specialist field as well as to promote research, training, further education and training in vascular surgery and vascular medicine as well as quality assurance. Work and publications

The association advocates the issues of vascular surgery in research, teaching and patient care as well as advanced and advanced training. The association has certified suitable clinics as DGG vascular centers on application since 2003 .
The association has held an annual vascular surgery conference since 1985. The so-called three-country conference has been held with the ÖGG and the SGG since 1995 and takes place every third year in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The publication organ of the DGG, together with the ÖGG and the SGG, is the specialist journal "Gefäßchirurgie".
