The German School Málaga or Colegio Alemán de Málaga is an independent private school approved by the Spanish Ministry of Education and recognized and supervised by the " Standing Conference of Ministers of Education of the Federal Republic of Germany " (KMK) as an official school abroad.
Location and catchment area of the school
The school is located about 15 kilometers east of Marbella on a hill forested by pine and cork oaks, about 420 meters above sea level. The distance from the A7 autovia, Málaga - Cádiz, is about five kilometers. The Hofsäss tennis center is in the immediate vicinity of the school.

At the beginning of the 2007/2008 school year, 650 pupils (nationalities: 262 German, 261 Spanish, 57 German / Spanish and 70 others) were divided into six kindergarten groups (6 mixed-age groups from 3 to 6 years with pre-school lessons in 3 groups, which are taught by primary school teachers), eight primary school classes (1st to 4th class each in two classes), two 5th classes (high school guided orientation level) and 14 high school classes (classes 6 to 12).
Foreign language sequence:
English from grade 5, French from grade 9
Languages of instruction:
German and Spanish from kindergarten
Natural sciences:
biology from grade 5, physics from grade 7, chemistry from grade 8
Options:
Choice between French (language focus) and physics (science focus) for grades 11 and 12; Computer science also voluntary from grade 10 to grade 12
No course system in the upper secondary school.
