The German Tax Law Society (DStJG) is a non-profit, registered association of tax lawyers with the aim of maintaining tax law in research, training and practice.

The society holds an annual meeting every autumn. The topics of the lectures will be presented for public discussion in a discussion forum on the website before the annual meetings. The lectures and the discussion are held annually by Verlag Dr. Otto Schmidt published the conference proceedings.

Any lawyer who deals with tax law in research, teaching or practice can become a member of the association . There is the possibility of a sponsoring membership.

The association's work is supported by a scientific advisory board chaired by Johanna Hey . Several tax lawyers belong to him.

The company awards the Albert Hensel Prize at the annual conference for outstanding work in the field of tax law .

The company was led in the first few years by Klaus Tipke , then by Heinrich Wilhelm Kruse , Joachim Schulze-Osterloh and Joachim Lang .
