Joachim Schulze-Osterloh

Joachim Schulze-Osterloh (born April 24, 1935 in Berlin ) is a German legal scholar and former professor at the Free University of Berlin .

Live and act

Schulze-Osterloh studied law at the Free University of Berlin from 1954 . There he passed his first state examination in law in 1958. In 1962 he was trained by the Free University of Berlin with the real estate law work of Arwed Blomeyer: Acquisition of property from unauthorized persons and approval to become a Dr. iur. PhD. Schulze-Osterloh then completed his legal clerkship and passed his second state examination in 1965. As a result, he returned to his academic career and worked on his habilitation. He graduated from the University of Hamburg in 1971 under the supervision of Götz Hueck . In 1974 he became a professor at the Free University of Berlin. In 1978 he moved to a full chair at the TU Berlin . In 1983 Schulze-Osterloh returned to the Free University of Berlin, where he held the full chair for civil law, commercial, labor and tax law until his retirement in 2000.

Schulze-Osterloh's main research interests were commercial, corporate and accounting law. In particular, he researched the law of the annual financial statements , for which he published a manual. Another focus was on tax law, especially corporate tax law with its various forms.
