German study society for road markings
The German Study Society for Road Marking (DSGS) is an association of industrial companies that are involved in road marking .
The DSGS is organized as an association based in Kassel . According to its own statements, it includes more than 80 companies from Germany, France, Switzerland and other European countries. It works with the Federal Highway Research Institute and has been publishing the list of approved measuring devices for road markings since 2010 . It describes its membership structure as follows:
“The strongest group in the DSGS are the application engineers and installation companies. The second largest group are the material manufacturers organized within the DSGS. Furthermore, the manufacturers of reflective pearls as well as raw material, machine and equipment manufacturers and test centers for road markings are members of the DSGS. The association also has an independent testing facility for road markings, the DSGS testing service. "
The better-known members include, for example, 3M Germany and subsidiaries of Bilfinger and Evonik .
