The German Asphalt Association ( DAV for short ) is an interest group of the asphalt industry . Its members primarily include asphalt mixing plants and road construction companies. The association provides information about modern asphalt building materials and asphalt construction methods and participates in the development of standards and guidelines. The German Asphalt Association is affiliated with the Association of the European Asphalt Industry ( EAPA for short ) and is the publisher of the specialist magazine "asphalt".

The association sees itself as a discussion partner for the asphalt industry and the road construction authorities at the various administrative levels. He is also in contact with executing companies and engineering offices that are placing tenders. The main goal is to provide information about modern asphalt building materials and asphalt construction methods. The association draws attention to asphalt construction technology through the publication of information materials (partly online). This knowledge is passed on to interested parties in advanced training courses and seminars.

The members of the German Asphalt Association take part in national and international bodies and committees and represent the interests of the asphalt industry there. The association is also involved in drawing up standards and guidelines on asphalt.
