The German Go-Bund eV ( DGOB ) is the umbrella organization of Gospieler in Germany . He is a member of the European Go Federation (EGF). The DGoB is the umbrella organization for 12 regional associations, which in turn consist of more than 2000 members (as of 2018). It organizes annual championships , youth championships, women’s championships, pair-go championships, the German youth league and the go-Bundesliga . Members of the regional associations receive the German Go newspaper six times a year with information on Go life in Germany, Europe and, of course, East Asia.

The DGoB is also responsible for the formation of national teams and the sending of players to international tournaments. The German national team currently (2015) plays in the A-League of the Pandanet Go European Team Championship of the EGF . The German national youth team achieved second place behind Russia in the first European Youth Go Team Championship 2014/15 (organized by the EGF).
