Ida Weissbartová

Ida Weissbartová , née Ida Popperová (born February 6, 1876 in Lomnice u Tišnova , † 1942 in Ghetto Izbica ), was a Jewish victim of the Holocaust from Czechoslovakia .

Life

Ida Weissbartová is the mother of Markéta Liebesná , the wife of Otto Liebesný (* 1894) from the Liebesný family, who lived in Lomnice u Tišnova since the 19th century: the tombstones of the merchant Moritz Liebesný and are in the Jewish cemetery in Lomnice his wife Louisa Liebesná from the 1820s.

The daughter Markéta Liebesná lived with her husband in Lomnice, their children Jan Liebesný, later Jan Líbezný (* 1923) and Lilly Luisa Liebesná (* 1927) also grew up in Lomnice. In 1940 Ida Weissbartová moved to the house of the Liebesný family.

In April 1942 the Liebesný family was arrested and deported . Ida Weissbartová was deported with Transport Ae No. 321 from Brno to Theresienstadt and then with Transport Aq No. 762 from Theresienstadt to Izbica near Lublin in Poland , where she was murdered that same year.

On September 17, 2011, a stumbling block was laid for her in front of the house at ul. Josefa Uhra 231 in Lomnice, where she last lived with the Liebesný family . The stumbling block bears the following text (here with a translation):

The event, which took place as part of the “Days of European Cultural Heritage” (Dny evropského dědictví v Lomnici), met with a significant response in the region. The online edition of the national magazine Literární noviny from September 13, 2011 also reported on the laying of the Stolperstein in Lomnice. The “Heritage Days” are organized in Lomnice every year by the local beautification association OSLO, which also campaigned for the stumbling block. In 2011 and 2013 a total of 9 stumbling blocks have been laid in the community on the occasion.
