German Council for Land Care

The German Council for Land Care eV (DRL) is an association based in Bonn , which was founded there on July 5, 1962. The founding was initiated by the Federal President Heinrich Lübke . The council has its seat in Bonn to this day. Almost every German Federal President subsequently became the DRL's patron.

Its purpose is the goals of the Green Charter of Mainau and expresses itself with expert reports and writings on nature and environmental protection projects in Germany and on fundamental questions of environmental protection . The members of the council are appointed; the number of members is limited to 20. The work in the DRL is voluntary. The spokesman for the council is Werner Konold .

Series of publications

The DRL has been publishing a series of publications since 1964, in which 87 volumes have appeared so far (as of 2013).
