German Council for Resuscitation

The German Resuscitation Council e. V. is an association whose main purpose is education, training and research in the field of resuscitation . The seat of the association and the office is in Ulm . The date of foundation was December 13, 2007. Chairman (as of 2020) is Bernd W. Böttiger (* 1958), Director of the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Operative Intensive Care Medicine at the University Clinic in Cologne .

The organization pursues the goal of supporting, promoting and harmonizing the interdisciplinary cooperation between organizations and people who deal with the various aspects of resuscitation, and to evaluate research results from an expert perspective with regard to their relevance for recommendations and guidelines. Close cooperation with the European Resuscitation Council is sought.

Association members are medical societies in the field of intensive and emergency medicine, all aid organizations active in Germany and personal members.
