The Deutsche Reichsanzeiger was the official newspaper of the German Reich , in which personnel matters and administrative regulations of the Reich as well as short reports from the work of the Reichstag were published. From 1875 onwards, registered trademarks were published for the first time in accordance with Section 6 of the Trademark Protection Act. It appeared every day except on Sundays and holidays.

The Reichsanzeiger took over the function of the proclamation gazette, which had been published under the title Allgemeine Preußische Staats-Zeitung since January 1819 . Between July 1, 1843 and May 1, 1848 it was called Allgemeine Preußische Zeitung , from May 1, 1848, General Prussian State Gazette , since July 1, 1851, Royal Prussian State Gazette . After the Empire of the Reich authorities from 4 May 1871, the combined name was waiving a special display sheet German Reich Gazette and Royal Prussian State Gazette used colloquially short Reich and State Gazette called, and "republican" version from mid November 1918 to April 14, 1945 he was called the Deutscher Reichsanzeiger and the Prussian State Gazette . In the Reichsanzeiger one can find lists of losses from the First World War.

The enclosures of the central commercial register for the German Reich list not only entries in the commercial register, but also patent and utility model applications and bankruptcy notices .

At the time of National Socialism , 359 expatriation lists with 39,006 people were published.

The non-official part contained a wide range of reports on art and culture, science and technology, news from all over the world, timetables for ships and railways, prices for agricultural goods and raw materials, the weather report and much more. These include numerous agency reports from Wolff's Telegraphic Bureau , mostly marked with WTB .
