German visor helmet

A German visor helmet is a type of helmet from the early 16th century .

It is a helmet that extends to the base of the neck with a short, pushed-on neck protection. The German visor helmet is a hybrid form and further development of the Italian Armet and German Schaller and was worn with the Riefel armor . It can be made as a simple visor helmet, but also as a so-called larva helmet that simulates a human face.
