The Broken Sword Creek is a right tributary of the Sandusky River , a tributary of Lake Erie in the northern US state of Ohio . The Broken Sword Creek belongs to the river system of the St. Lawrence River and drains 246 km² of predominantly agricultural land in the catchment area of Lake Erie. It rises about 10 km southeast of the town of New Washington in Crawford County , flows first in a westerly direction and then meandering generally to the southwest through Wyandot County to flow into the Sandusky River 5 km southwest of Nevada.
The main tributary is the Brandywine Creek , which rises at Bucyrus in Crawford County ( 40 ° 51 ′ 52 ″ N , 82 ° 56 ′ 14 ″ W ), flows northwest and flows into Broken Sword Creek in Lykens Township ( 40 ° 53 20 ″ N , 83 ° 1 ′ 27 ″ W ).
