Deutz D 50

The Deutz D 50 is a Deutz brand tractor from the Deutz D series , which was produced from 1959 to 1962 in the Deutz works in Cologne and was the penultimate tractor from the D series before the Deutz D 80. A total of 24,000 tractors of this Deutz model were built.

The Deutz tractor was equipped with 46  hp and an air-cooled four-cylinder engine . The speed differences for more precise agricultural cultivation of the soil were taken into account by the Deutz push gear with its seven forward gears and three reverse gears. In addition, one gear was designed as an extremely slow crawler gear . The weight of the tractor is 2155  kilograms with a width of 1865 mm and a length of 3630 mm. The tractor was extremely popular due to its daily use in agriculture and forestry as well as its lifting power of around 1350 kg. In addition to a crankshaft with five bearings and an injection pump with nozzle holder from Bosch, it has a total displacement of 3400  cm³ . The tractor reaches a top speed of 20  km / h , and a drum brake , designed as a three-pedal brake with automatic brake compensation, and a geared hand brake are standard equipment of the Deutz tractor.

The penultimate version of the D series has electrical equipment consisting of two headlights with high beam, parking light and low beam, license plate light, brake light, tail light as well as a turn signal system and a horn. The Deutz D 50 also has a socket for the trailer lighting, a glow monitor, a charge indicator and a glow starter switch. The optional special equipment included a Baas front loader, a Fritzmaier hood, a second fender seat and a cable winch .
