The Deutz D 5506 is a tractor model from Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG that was produced in the Deutz works in Cologne from 1968 to 1974 . The D 5506 was the predecessor model of the D 6206.

In the 1970s, the Deutz D 5506 was considered to be one of the most popular tractors on the tractor market due to its great smoothness due to the four-cylinder engine and its 38 kW (52 hp ) output, which is sufficient for most German farms .
