The Deutz D 6206 is a tractor from the Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG from the Deutz D-06 series , which was produced in the Deutz works in Cologne from 1974 to 1981 and replaced the Deutz model D 5506 from 1974. In addition to the standard version, the Deutz D 6206, designed in a frameless block design, was also produced as an all-wheel drive version with the type designation D 6206 A. With a width of 1840  mm and a length of 3680 mm, the empty weight of the tractor was 2225 kg in the standard  version and 2635 kg in the all-wheel drive version.

The engine used type F4L912 was an air-cooled four-cylinder - direct injection engines with axial fans, mass balance and dry air filter that a maximum of up 26.5  km / h reached. The engine had a total of 4 cylinders with a displacement of 3768 cm³. The built-in transmission of type TW 50.3 had 12 forward and 4 reverse gears. At the start of production, the engine had 58  hp . When the overdrive was installed in 1977, the number of horsepower increased to 60. The maximum torque was 200  Nm and 1600  revolutions per minute .

From 1976 it was optionally possible to order the Deutz D 6206 as a special version with a comfort cab. From 1978 the paintwork of the tractor was changed to a black and blue hull with silver rims .
